Treat Yo Self

August is National Wellness Month and the 15th is National Relaxation Day!

We all should take time to care for our mind, body and spirits, which is what we do when we go on vacation and recreate: we re-create ourselves. What could be better than kicking back and treating yourself to some me-time?

There are several options for pampering nearby while you are staying at Bella Vista.

Spa33

Right in Kingston Plantation, Spa33 is located at The Landing, the Spa & Fitness Center. In addition to spa treatments, they offer massages as well as a salon services.

There are several tempting packages, starting with Beach Awakening, which consists of a half-hour body scrub and an hour-long massage. Add a 90-minute facial and you've got their Spa33 Signature experience. Or you can mix and match to create your own custom spa day. Couple's packages and bridal packages are also available.

Spa33 offers a variety of massages, from classic Swedish, deep tissue, and natural stone. They also have teen, couple's, and prenatal massage offerings. The salon provides cuts, color, styling, as well as keratin treatments. Manicures, pedicures, waxing, and make-up application round out the services provided at this lovely spa.

It is advisable to book your spa appointments in advance, so you can be sure to get your pampering in while you're at Bella Vista!

EnVogue

If you don't need a full spa treatment or massage, another great spot to visit on-site at Kingston Plantation is EnVogue Salon. They are located in The Marketplace, right by the entrance to the community.

At EnVogue, you can get a cut, color, and blowout; they also offer manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing. For special events, they do make-up and hair styling. This inviting salon has been a Myrtle Beach staple for years.

Interestingly enough, this salon is actually the spot where my BFF and I went for manicures and pedicures on the fateful weekend we stayed at Margate for her sister's bachelorette celebration and thus started my journey to Bella Vista Beach Villa.

EnVogue is located just a stone's throw away from Leonard Call, the on-site realtors for Kingston Plantation, and is where we picked up information that led me to purchase our home-away-from-home and to share it with others as Bella Vista. You can read more about that in my recent post celebrating girlfriends.

Hibiscus Spa

Another local spot which I have been to is located just a short drive away at Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes. The Hibiscus Spa offers treatments such as body scrubs and wraps, massages and facials.

Spa guests can also use the indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, and steam room on the day of treatments, so you can certainly arrive early and stay after your scheduled services to take full advantage of the amenities there. The whirlpool is lovely and the whole environment of the spa is calm and soothing. Their fluffy robes are great!

Massage Envy

A couple years ago, my husband got me a 90-minute massage for Mother's Day and at the end of it, I was so relaxed and addled that I went ahead and signed up for a membership! LOL, I don't think he was expecting that. I figured with my frazzled life, it would be a monthly opportunity to re-center myself and have some self-care time. Needless to say, between packed schedules and then COVID, I've built up quite a backlog of sessions.

Which is why it ended up being perfect that while I was in town for Easter Break this year, I planned ahead and booked some sessions at the local outpost in North Myrtle Beach, Coastal North. They were very helpful in explaining how I could transfer sessions on my account to book appointments with them. I was even able to 'gift' sessions to my friends who were traveling with me, so we all had pampering time.

It's not the immersive, luxurious spa experience as some of the other spas profiled here, but if you're looking for a solid massage experience at a reasonable cost, I suggest you check them out. Plus, I found the staff at this location to be very friendly and welcoming. There is another location at Grande Dunes, but I haven't been there yet.

Back at my local Massage Envy, since I hadn't had a facial in such a long time (thanks, COVID), I told my esthetician that she probably would need to take a dremel (!) to my face and she suggested the microderm infusion treatment instead. Game changer. The treatment exfoliates, extracts and hydrates all at once. I literally felt like I was glowing walking out of there.

Cinzia Spa

Located at North Beach Resort & Villas just a quick trip from Bella Vista, I have not been to Cinzia yet but this luxurious spa certainly looks like it would be worth a visit!

Aside from their spa packages, they have 'rituals' which sound extremely decadent: coconut milk bath? Hot oil scalp massage? Melted shea butter? Um, yes please.

I also like they have some teen options, including a skin care 101 session, that I think my daughter would enjoy. Got to start them young!

Artistik Image

A little bit of a drive away, towards the airport and situated not far from The Market Common is another highly-ranked day spa that I would be interested in trying out: Artistik Image Salon, Spa and Boutique. They offer a 120-minute massage, which sounds heavenly because I'm pretty delirious after a 90-minute one.

What sounds incredible is their full day pampering packages, their top of the line one includes a 90-minute massage, deluxe facial, healing mud body cocoon, shampoo, deep conditioning treatment, and hair style. This package includes a 30-minute break for a light spa lunch.

Ahh...

Well, hopefully this post has given you inspiration on ways to 'max the relax' during your stay with us at Bella Vista. With so many great options around, there's plenty of opportunities to... treat yo self!
